Records and Neon
Below are a series of neon sculptures that incorporates records. Overall the record series came from a love of digging, cutting, and remixing records. I always found the shiny grooved surface reflected light in an interesting way. Adding neon to the mix was only natural.

Save the Vinyl is made of 40 records bought at Goodwill. Each neon tube individually blinks to the amplitude of the high (blue), mid (red), and low (green) frequencies in the soundtrack.
The soundtrack is comprised of small recordings from the records, and some vocals from a documentary on record digging.
